DEMITRA ALEXANDRIA

Demitra Alexandria is a young and vibrant actress, producer, dramaturge and theatre maker who has been an active presence in the industry since 2011.

 

Demitra graduated with a Bachelor of Performance from A.I.M. Dramatic Arts (formerly known as AADA) in 2013 and has since continued her training with Playwriting Australia, A.C.A., The Bell Shakespeare Company and in the Suzuki Method. 

 

Recently, Demitra has been involved in various theatrical and film productions such as; Jason Langley’s Australian premier of Chekhov in Hell, Andrew Davidson’s Playhouse Creatures, Ross Page’s feature film Blind Justice and Hayley Flinn's Wraith Woods with Aussie film star Mark Lee. 

 

Demitra’s upcoming work includes ‘AKIO: The Next Level’  playing at the Hayes Theatre and touring educational productions ‘Home’ and ‘Freedom Ride' with Kinetic Theatre company.

 

BARBARA GOUSKOS

Barbara Gouskos is best known for her appearance as “Helen Bordino” in the popular series Heartbreak High, other performances include East West 101, All Saints, Home & Away, White Collar Blue, Water Rats etc. Her film credits include Mushrooms and various Short Films the latest being Fish Out of Water & Blind Date. Her Stage credits include Night Journeys, She Loves me, She loves me not, Shakespeare by the Sea, Alex & Eve & The Negotiating Table from Bulldog Theatre. And was the lead in The Proxy, which was part of the Greek Festival, 2010. 

VALENTINO ARICO

Valentino Arico has been involved in just about every aspect of the arts arena including film, television, radio, cabaret, stand up and theatre. Being an active member of the Sydney theatre community, he's been the Chairman of Actors Anonymous Inc for a number of years and has regularly performed in Script in Hand, Playtime, Crash Test Drama as well as numerous independent companies and productions.He's been involved with Short+Sweet for the past 12 years as a actor.

Valentino was also honoured to win a Crash Test Drama 'Best Director' award for his directorial debut! In addition he's been privileged to  MC several S+S launches and Gala finals. In addition Valentino was one of the original members of the S+S Artist Committee and even received a Gold S+S Artist Recognition Award for over 10 years participation in the festival.

When he's not treading the theatre boards, Valentino runs his own business designing, delivering and presenting various training programs for corporate clients.
 

 

TIM RESSOS

I developed my performance skills in stand up comedy from 2009-2011 and soon made a transition into a full time three year acting course at the Actors College of Theatre of Television. I dedicated my life to creatively and spiritually raising the bar higher than i could possibly imagine, giving every part of my soul to my partner, with the desire of making an Iconic dynamic. My artistic imagination has expanded to levels I've never thought possible since moving into the industry and I've thankfully performed dream roles such as:  The Bear (Chekhov),  Happy Lowman (Death of a Salesman),  Ghost (Hamlet),  Bottom (MidSummers),  Headless Soldier (Shoot Get Treasure),  Roy (Cosi),  Giants Wife (Aladdin's Fractured Fairy tale's),  Captain Fielding (Pair of Lunatics),  Jester (Feast with the Tutors) and currently performing of The Birdcage as: Agador Spartacus. 

 

RACHEL SCANE

(Set design /costume/ stage manager)

Based in Sydney, Rachel Scane is a graduate from a Bachelor of Arts: Design for Theatre and Television degree from Charles Sturt University. Rachel’s focus is on set and costume design with most credits in one or both areas. She also has experience in make-up and props. Her most recent productions include Sydney Shakespeare Company’s production of ‘Hamlet’ on Fort Denison earlier this year, and Emu Heights Theatre Company’s ‘Merchant of Venice’ at the end of last year.

Previous theatre production credits include ‘Brother Daniel’ with Collaboration Theatre Group, Subtlenuance’s ‘Joan Again’, ‘Black Rainbow’ written by Kathy Petrakis, Enigma’s ‘La Ronde’, Eclective Productions creative Development piece ‘Machine’, and Brave New World Theatre companies ‘Dancing Naked in the Backyard’ from 2014. Along with SITCOs The Sydney Shakespeare Festival, Emu Heights Theatre Companies ‘The Crucible’, Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre’s production of ‘Oliver!’, SITCOs ‘Friday’ and ‘Something Natural but Very Childish’, and Subtlenuance’s ‘Rocket man’ in 2013.
